This uniform (along with some of his others) came out of an auction in Florida some time ago. I think the Man retired down there and his stuff popped up at auction and they were selling it piece by piece! I bid and kept many of his historic items together. I’ve tried and tried to research this Vet and have had little luck. I’ve found that often Special Forces records are kind of protected in some cases… I’m sure there are good reasons for that! Anyhow, his “ribbon rack” represents a long combat career through the Korean and Vietnam wars. From what I gathered, he was in the Army from 1948 to 1978 – what a career!
