Japanese Samurai Sword from WWII Navy Vet’s Son

This is an example of a World War II Era Japanese Army Officer’s “samurai” Sword that was surrendered on the Island of Guam to a U.S. Navy Veteran who was all of 17 years old.  How fortunate we (the Baby Boomers and younger) are to have the freedoms we enjoy provided by the young Veterans of the Greatest Generation.
